Tryouts InformationUpdated Friday March 9, 2018 by Bryan Viggiani.
Every child will be placed on a team. We take pride in ensuring that teams in our competitive divisions are evenly and fairly matched. To help make this happen, tryouts are held to help managers evaluate players for selection in the annual player draft, which is how teams are formed at the Farm, AAA and Majors divisions.
Players should attend as follows:
Players should arrive 15 minutes prior to their designated time slot. Parents need not stay and are encouraged to drop off players given the limited space at Frozen Ropes. Of course, if you would like to stay to assist us, we would gladly accept your help.
The "tryouts/evaluations" are designed to be fun for the players and are low pressure. It is simply a tool that we use to evaluate each player's skill level, which will assist coaches (and the league) in making balanced teams. All players registered as of Saturday will be placed on a team regardless of skill level.
Children should bring their baseball gloves, and optionally, batting helmets (helmets will also be on hand to share). Children and parents are responsible for their own equipment.
Because this is an indoor facility, children should wear sneakers. Cleats are not allowed on the indoor turf. Children are not allowed to chew gum on the turf, or bring food or drinks onto the field (other than water).
Tryouts are free to our families.

We look forward to seeing you on Saturday, March 10!
